Finally I got a chance to blog! I have been watching the Olympics over the last few days. It has been so enjoyable, watching all the different sports and seeing all the countries together. The swimming has been so good. And to top it off, it’s taking place in my closest city. It makes me giggle to see Horse Guard’s Parade turned into a venue for Beach Volleyball. Take some sand and voila…

I also really enjoyed the Opening Ceremony on Friday night. I loved Beijing’s effort in 2008 but I thought this one was delightfully quirky and very spectacular. It made me so proud to be British.
