Churros, Churros, Churros!
It’s been all about the churros recently. Here are some of my favourite ones I’ve tried in the last few months to moisten your tastebuds on a Monday morning.

Carrot Cake Whoopie Pies
Have you ever tried Whoopie Pies? I hadn’t either, before yesterday. And now I wonder where they’ve been all my life! As part of a bank holiday weekend project, I made these carrot cake whoopie pies to enjoy. They were so much fun to make- essentially, they’re two biscuits sandwiched together and filled with buttercream icing. It was beautifully arranged and the colours made me feel very festive. Looking ahead to a fantastic 2020, full of gorgeous and delicious food!

Polish Waffles
Birmingham has more canals than Venice and the rather lovely The Karczma, a Polish restaurant with traditional decor which wouldn’t look out of place in Southern Poland. I had these waffles: They also served a gorgeous tea with honey that could be added. The waffles were good but the tea was better :p

Tea at Betty’s
It’s a bit cold and wintry outdoors and there is nothing more I like than snuggling up in the warm when it’s chilly outside. Do you want to know another thing I like though? Afternoon tea! Now, my trip to Betty’s tearooms in York for afternoon tea was quite some time ago- August 2017- but I think it’s time for a throwback. Also, I think something as special as afternoon tea at Betty’s deserves a mention. I’ve always wanted to go to York and was delighted when I managed to make a visit there for my 29th birthday. One of the places that you absolutely need to visit in York…
