Manna, Arcade: Eating my way through London

A few months ago, I discovered Arcade during a visit to Battersea Power Station. Arcade is a food hall which brings food, drink and music all under one roof. Fresh from my trip to the US, where I’d experienced (and enjoyed) several food halls, I was excited to see this trend catching on in the UK.

More recently, I found another Arcade location at Tottenham Court Road—perfect timing for my all-day plans at Outernet next door, since it stays open past 10 PM. This branch contains many kitchens which spans the world’s cuisines.

The food selection is diverse, but we settled on Manna, a US-style burger and fried chicken spot with a cosy food hall atmosphere. You can grab a table when you arrive, but keep in mind it gets packed around 5 PM on weekdays. Orders are placed through their app, therefore there’s none of that food-hall faff looking for something that you like.

What to Eat at Manna

The menu features burgers, waffle fries, Nashville tenders, and pickles. Pro tip: get anything that comes with waffle fries! I went for the chicken burger and wasn’t disappointed. During our visit, there was a mix-up with our order that resulted in an extra burger—which they kindly let us keep.

What to Drink

After a long day of dancing at Outernet, their sweet and fruity drink hit the spot. I’ve heard good things about their cocktails too.

Anything Else?

Service is quick, despite our order mix-up (which turned out to be a happy accident). The ordering app can be a bit tricky to navigate—a common complaint in reviews.

Burgers start at £9, and for £15 you can get the Manna platter: a burger, waffle fries, Nashville tenders, and pickles.

Definitely worth a try if you like food halls.
