    Christmas Markets

    A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to visit both Winter Wonderland and the Mill Street Winter Fair in Cambridge. The Mill Street Fair was a lovely day out, with shops and restaurants selling food all along the road. There was, of course, the traditional stalls, as well as street entertainment. It was quite busy, but not too much. My friend and I even ducked into a church to listen to a choir and have a go on their tombola. I am definitely interested in going next year!     Right lovely girls and boys, time for a writing update. Since the last time I have posted a blog, I have had this published: http://www.weekendnotes.com/the-shakespeare-pub-victoria.     Finally I got a chance to blog! I have been watching the Olympics over the last few days. It has been so enjoyable, watching all the different sports and seeing all the countries together. The swimming has been so good. And to top it off, it’s taking place in my closest city. It makes me giggle to see Horse Guard’s Parade turned into a venue for Beach Volleyball. Take some sand and voila… I also really enjoyed the Opening Ceremony on Friday night. I loved Beijing’s effort in 2008 but I thought this one was delightfully quirky and very spectacular.
