    Taking Inspiration From Persia

    Nestled in amongst the hipster pubs and fashionable restaurants in the trendy Northern Quarter of Manchester, The Patron is a lovely little bar serving cheap Middle- Eastern food. It was perfect for a light bite for lunch. This Kofta b’siniyah was really delicious- recommended especially if you’re looking for something different from the usual to eat.

    I haven’t posted on here for a bit because I’ve been at Green Man festival in Crickhowell. This is a lovely festival with such a chilled vibe. I had a great few days with friends, listening to music and relaxing in the sunshine (and sheltering from the rain!) On a completely unrelated note, a little while ago, I visited Scoff & Banter in Bloomsbury. I was doing a charity run the next day so wanted to load up on protein and carbs.     Eat Like A Greek

    Souvlaki is Greece’s favourite street food. A healthier alternative to fast food, it is sold everywhere in Greece but there are plenty of places to get it elsewhere, especially in London. Also, it is delicious. I headed down to the Great British Food Festival at Chiswick House a few weeks ago and sampled their gorgeous souvlaki. It was as good as I remembered from Greece. The Great British Food Festival is a fun day out, offering a selection of food. It is also based at beautiful locations, which makes it extra nice, I think.     Lavender With Everything

    It was my birthday on Monday and I celebrated by visiting some lavender fields and having some of their lavender tea and a lavender scone: I really recommend a visit to Mayfield Lavender Farm in Banstead- it’s layer after layer of purple-y goodness.
