    I haven’t posted on here for a bit because I’ve been at Green Man festival in Crickhowell. This is a lovely festival with such a chilled vibe. I had a great few days with friends, listening to music and relaxing in the sunshine (and sheltering from the rain!) On a completely unrelated note, a little while ago, I visited Scoff & Banter in Bloomsbury. I was doing a charity run the next day so wanted to load up on protein and carbs.     Souvlaki is Greece’s favourite street food. A healthier alternative to fast food, it is sold everywhere in Greece but there are plenty of places to get it elsewhere, especially in London. Also, it is delicious. I headed down to the Great British Food Festival at Chiswick House a few weeks ago and sampled their gorgeous souvlaki. It was as good as I remembered from Greece.     Eating My Way Through London: Bellanger

    Bellanger has the feel of a neighbourhood place, rather than a trendy London eaterie. That might be due to its location in the twinkly, cosy section of Upper Street in Islington. Apparently Bellanger is ‘inspired by the Alsatian brasseries of Paris’. If you’re not down with Alsatian dining, then expect to be a little more familiar by the end of your visit.     Eating My Way Through London: Maltby Street Market

    Maltby Street Market is a hidden gem, a quirky version of its neighbour Borough Market, although without the crowds and the tourists. It is bustling and vibrant, offering a selection of groceries, breads, meats and cheeses.\nHowever, it is also ideal for lunch and I defy anyone to walk down there and not feel their stomachs rumbling, no matter how recently they\’ve eaten.\nIt\’s a bit of a task to find (although not for us, as my friend lives around the corner from it), however once found, it\’s definitely worth a repeat visit.     I do love a food market. The most famous one in London is Borough Market in Southwark, which is open from Monday- Saturday. The market has stood on the site since the thirteenth century and is a big draw for tourists and Londoners alike. The market is a foodie paradise. One tip I would give is to visit on an empty stomach to fully enjoy all that is available. Borough Market offers a wide supply of delicacies and delights, including pastries, cheese (lots of cheese) and teas. And the fudge.     I came across Santo Remedio completely by accident, purely because I’ve walked by it a few times and thought it looked cosy. It was a happy accident though, as Santo Remedio has appeared on several lists of the best Mexican restaurants in London. I adore Mexican food so this is my idea of a good night.     Tapas at Salvador and Amanda

    Salvador and Amanda is a beautiful and authentic Spanish restaurant, located in London’s Leicester Square. Although it’s been there for around 15 years, I wasn’t actually aware of it until my team held our Christmas party there last month. The restaurant boasts a surrealist art- deco interior, in which patrons are encased in curtained- off sections. We had the Christmas menu, which is a selection of the normal menu, but I’m pretty sure the standard menu is just as tasty. It was some of the best tapas I had eaten outside of Spain.
