I’m a sucker for a beautiful view, and the Spy Glass Inn in Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight, has that in spades. When you’re standing on Ventnor Cove with its sheer cliffs and turquoise waters, it’s hard not to feel like you’ve found your way into paradise. Canada Dreaming
Do you ever get reminders from photo storage sites of things you’ve done in previous years? Google Photos is currently constantly sending me reminders that three years ago I was in Western Canada in the Rocky Mountains. I hope your 2022 is off to a good start so far? As well as wanting to be a food blogger, I’ve always fancied being a travel blogger. Maltese Platter
The super- hot weather has put me in a holiday mood and has led me to think back to my trip to Malta last year. Maltese cuisine is heavily influenced by Italy- wholesome and full of flavour. If you visit Malta, give their Maltese platter a try. It is a selection box of several Maltese delicacies, including breads, Maltese sausage and sundried tomato. The Maltese have got it right- why have one thing when you can have everything! This is one that we tried in St George’s Bay, however most restaurants should serve them.

My food travels in the Netherlands: Haarlem, The Hague and Amsterdam
Haarlem is a cute historical city, with an old market square that boasts several museums and an impressive church named (imaginatively) Grote Kirk. The city’s proximity to the sea, and Noord-Holland‘s fertile farmlands, means that food in Haarlem is wonderfully fresh and delicious. After spending the day visiting the flower gardens in Keukenhof (one of my favourite things ever!), we took a train over to Haarlem to have dinner in this beguiling Dutch city.
