Foodie Adventures in the Scottish Highlands

I hope your 2022 is off to a good start so far? As well as wanting to be a food blogger, I’ve always fancied being a travel blogger. What could be better than travelling the world, writing about my experiences of eating great food and seeing interesting sights? Travel blogging is not quite an area I’ve cracked yet, but I still enjoy talking about the food I’ve eaten in the places I’ve visited. Comforting Chicken Stroganoff

I was in the mood for something tasty and warming a few weeks ago and this flavoursome chicken stroganoff I made was just the ticket. It is is a comfort-food classic- ideal for a cold winter night, or just when you want to feel cosy. INGREDIENTS  INSTRUCTIONS  Do you know what to serve this with? Eat With A Friend Day

Today is Eat With A Friend Day! To honour this special occasion, this is exactly what I did. Lebanese Food

As part of my birthday celebrations,  my boyfriend took me out last week for a Lebanese meal.  Lebanese food is characterised by plenty of starch,  wholefoods and vegetables.  Red meat is not as used as widely as other types of meat,  such as lamb. I haven’t eaten a lot of Lebanese food so was excited to try it.  I was really glad we did as it was delicious. Here is a plate of Chicken Escalopes with olives and pickles on the side: Reem,  Bedford

    Vietnamese Stirfry

This is a stir-fry that was cooked by my brother’s partner Toan when I went to visit him last week. He is Vietnamese/ Chinese and is used to cooking in this style. Vietnamese food has very distinct flavours. Dishes use plenty of fresh herbs but tend not to be overly spicy, as chilli sauces are served separately.
